Normally the weight of the rod is calculated in kg per meter and kg per foot. But here we are going to calculate rod weight in kg per meter. There is a formula to find the rod weight in kg per meter which is D2L/162. In which D denotes the diameter of the rod and L denotes the given length.

The length of 6 mm rod = 1 meter
Diameter of the given rod = 6 mm.

So, the Weight of 6 mm rod = D2L/162
= (62) × 1m/162.
= 36/162 = 0.222 kg/m.

We know the length of a full-size rod is 12 meters.

So, the weight of 6mm rod per piece = D2L/162.
= (62) × 12/162.
= 36 × 0.074.
= 2.664 kg/piece.

We know the length of a full-size rod is 12 meters.
